By defeating Haiti 4-1 the Flying Eaglets of Nigeria count 9 points for three plays and finish the first round at the head of Group D, followed by the 'Bleuets' of France who had a narrow escape after their defeat against Nigeria and their 1-1 draw versus Haiti. Fortunately for the French they have succeeded in defeating Japan.
For their next match in the knockout phase the young Nigerian will play Colombia at Gwanyang Stadium on 30 August.
