| IVORY COAST : Emerse FAE out ! |
The young Nantes Football Club (France) midfielder from Ivory Coast Emerse FAE was wounded on his knee last sunday during the play opposing his team to Auxerre for the match of 8th day of the french 1st Division Football Championship. FAE will be absent from the playing fields for at least one week. Thus he will not be able to take part to the next match opposing the “Elephants” (the national football team of Ivory Coast) to the “Panthers” of Gabon next week-end in Abidjan. This play counts for the 2d round of the qualifying matches for the African Cup of Nations 2008 (ACN) in Ghana.
Emerse FAE is listed among 30 players who have been selected for this match by the new coach of the “Elephants”, former german international player Ulrich STIELIKE. Among them are Yaya Gnégnéri TOURE and Abdul Kader KEITA both playing in french Premier League, the former for Monaco ad the latter for Lille. They have been selected in the “Eursosport” “type-team of the week” after the matches played last week-end .
