| KENYA: The coach under pressure. |
After deciding not to select Arnold ORIBI, the “Harambee Stars” of Kenya goalkeeper because of a fumble that lead to one of the 2 goals scored by Erithrea to defeat Kenya in Asmara (2-1) in june during the 1st qualitying match, the “Harambee Stars” coach Timam OLABA has been put into pressure by the public and has almost be forced to call ORIBI back. So he is now listed among the 19 players who have been selected to play the “Palanca Negra” of Angola in Maputo on oct. 8 for the 2d day of qualifying matches for the ACN 2008. During the 1st match the Kenyan striker Dennis OLIECH (FC Nantes) missed a penalty kick.
Reminder: Coach Timam OLABA took office after the departure of former France’s international goalkeeper Bernard LAMA who could not reach an agreement with the rulers of the Kenya Football Federation.
